New Haircut!
Playing in the sand!
Anderson and Molly coloring

Yeah! A slide!
This place is awesome!
This is a big canoe!

Molly caught a fish!
Daddy, I want one of these!
This is yummy!
What a treat!
Today was a big day! Molly and I had the whole day together since Andy didn't get home till tonight. We started off the day by getting her hair cut at an awesome place just for kids. They were great with her and did a very good job. We will definitely take her back there. After naptime we met Chrissy, Anderson, Jackson, Susan and Josh at the Magic house. Molly had a blast! That place is a child's heaven! She had such a great time. It was hard to play with Anderson, Josh and Jackson, though because it was so busy! That was a bummer, but all the kids had a good time. After we left the Magic House, Molly and I stopped at Oberweis for a sundae! I wasn't read for our Girls day to end, but after our ice cream she was pretty wiped out so we came home to wait for Daddy. Daddy got home safe and sound and we are very happy. All is right at the Dallner household again!
**Sidenote**Molly finally fooled around and fell off the couch tonight. I was right there, but turned my back for a second and she must have stood up and caught her foot on a pillow and fell face first on to the floor and right on top of her breathing machine. She cried and cried and then made me go to the kitchen to get her a cold pack to put on her booboo. She was fine. She really milks the booboos. We are very lucky she didn't get hurt! Hopefully she will stop walking on the couch, now. I know...wishful thinking!

Missing Daddy...

I definitely think that Molly is missing her Daddy. Yesterday, when I picked her up from daycare she kept saying "Da-Da?" That was the first thing she asked this morning, also. Then right before we were walking out the door today she put on his hat that was right by the door. That is a game that they always play together-putting the hat off and on Daddy's head then off and on Molly's. She kept it on till we got to daycare. She is such a sweetie! Daddy will be home tomorrow, YEAH!

Bath Time Miracle!

I might have to buy stock in this stuff!

What started it all!

Let me give you some background...ever since about August or September Molly somehow got scared of the bathtub and refused to sit down in the water anymore. At first she would cry the whole time, then she would tolerate it, and recently she started to play again, but always standing up. We have tried toys, taking a bath with Gigi, taking a bath with Mommy, other bubbles and never even came close to sitting. I would say, "Molly, don't you want to sit down in the water?" To which she would promptly reply, with no hesistation "NO!!" So, we have been going on like this for months, until TONIGHT!!!
So, tonight we were having dinner and we were running behind schedule. As we were finishing up Molly starts dumping her noodles on the table and putting them back in the bowl, then she starts putting the bowl on her head, which made me laugh and take pics, so she continued to do it. Well, then I realized that her hair was covered in butter and she would have to have a bath. Luckily, I had recently picked up some Little Einsteins Bubble Bath, thinking that would help with our bath situation since she loves "Nine-niens". And believe it or not she finally sat down!!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! Of course I didn't have my camera near. Although this may not seem like that big of a deal to most, we have been trying to get back to loving the bath for so long, it is a huge deal to us! And I believe we are back because when I made her get out, it was a HUGE tantrum! Oh well, it was worth it! Thank you Einsteins Bubble Bath!
Side note--We had a visit from our Parents As Teachers lady tonight. She did an evaluation on Molly and Molly did very well. It is always interesting when she comes and asks Molly to do things that I would never think she could do (like draw a straight line) and she can do it! What a great program. They always give us great ideas for activities to to with her and its nice to have those evals every few months to see how she is progressing!

Book Worms

Tonight I decided to blog about Molly's favorite pasttime...books! I read to her almost every night since she has been born. It is one of my favorite parts of the day. She picks out what books we are going to read, then climbs up on my lap in the big comfy chair we keep in her room and we cuddle and read books. Now that she is old enough to have a mind of her own, she is in there every chance she gets, looking at her books. I think it is wonderful! I remember my Mom reading to me and going to the library and bringing home tons of books and doing the summer reading programs. I think it is a very important thing that we do every day. I have recently gotten back into the reading habit myself. I am so proud that she has taken such an interest in books. I have a weakness for books ( I bought her 2 when we were in Florida). I just love them! So, tonight we took pictures of some of our favorites. This is by no means an all inclusive list, we have too many favorites to list them all!

A Love Letter to Daddy...

Apple Picking
Hilton Head
Daddy's Little Girl
Blowing Bubbles
Exploring with Daddy
Daddy's Daisy
Nite-Nite Da Da
What a good Daddy
Proud Papa
Daddy had to leave tonight for a conference in Chicago and we miss him terribly. So I decided to write down some of the things that make him a great Daddy...
*He adores his little girl
*He is involved in every thing
*He is fun to play with
*He challenges Molly
*He keeps Mommy from freaking out about everything!
*He takes care of us
*He is a great provider
*The smile he has when he sees Molly
*He is big and strong
*He loves his family

There are so many ways he is a great Daddy, I can't begin to list them all. We love you, Daddy and can't wait for you to come back safe and sound.

Injury Waiting To Happen...

I know I'm gonna get in trouble!
And I really don't care!
It's a good thing I'm so cute
Just Chillin
Maybe I'll do a somersault
I really don't know what to do with this little monkey! She wants to not only stand on the couch, but run up and down it! I have tried everything I can think of to get her to stop, but I think the more reaction she gets the more she wants to do it. So now we are at a standstill. I try not to act like it is that big of a deal and she continues to do it. I say a little pray that all her bones stay unbroke. Wish us luck!

Daddy's Dream Come True

I'm ready for the course Dad!
They are the perfect size!
I know I can do it!
Look out Tiger!
Which club should I use?
Daddy is a great teacher!

When we were shopping in Florida for our last minute Christmas gifts we were in the toy department and walked past this adorable golf set. Andy has been wanting to find a set of clubs for her (because Phil Mickelson was golfing at 18mos), but every one we saw was either too big or too expensive. So anyway, we found these and of course bought them. I'm not sure who likes them better. Andy is so happy and Molly really seems to enjoy playing with them. Even though we are 2mos behind Phil, maybe she will grow up to be a great golfer! I'm ok with it because golf is a no contact sport! ;^)

Fun in Florida!

Molly and her babies.
My very own desk.
Wanna feed the squirrel?
I love the sand!
I'm a big girl!
Look at the wa-wa!
Momma's Girl

Walking with Mom!

No! I'm to big to hold your hand, Dad!

We didn't have the best weather while in Florida. I believe they said it was the coldest it had been there in years (of course!). But we made the best of it. We went for a few nice walks and went to the playground one day. We had lots of fun playing inside, too!
