We're on Vacation...Not

Today we went to Creve Coeur Lake to play in the sand. This is such a great area that we don't take advantage of enough. It is so beautiful as you can tell. They have miles of trails for walking, biking, roller blading, etc. Molly loved playing in the sand and making sand castles with Daddy. We will definitely need to go here more often. Last night Molly's daycare had a Parents Night Out, so Andy and I got to go on a date! We had a great time. We went to the mall and out to dinner. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it was nice to walk around and eat in peace (no offense, Mols). It was nice to have some alone time. Meanwhile, Molly had a great time at daycare. They played outside, played with water (her favorite), colored, had pizza, did a craft and got a goody bag. There was also a baby there that she really enjoyed playing with. She would give the baby her paci and toys. They said she was a really good helper. This is such a nice perk that they offer. What a great weekend!

The Terrible Twos...

How did my sweet little angel baby of a daughter turn in to the little stink she has been lately? She turned TWO!!! I now know why they call them the terrible twos! She is so rotten. She no longers listens to no, she doesn't want to go to bed, change her diaper, eat (healthy) food, change clothes, go outside or come inside (if I suggest it). She wants her paci 24/7 and whines incessantly when I won't give it to her. She hits me and beat up a little boy at school. It is really exhausting. Don't get me started on when we go out in public. What an even bigger nightmare. I know (hope) that this is just a phase and I will get my sweet lovable little girl back (hopefully) soon. She is still the most perfect little girl in the universe, just more challenging. To quote my best friend, Chrissy: "There's a reason God made them so cute!"

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!

We had a great long weekend! It was very relaxing. We have had a very busy May and it was nice to have a lazy weekend. To celebrate our nice weekend, we had ice cream cones on the back deck today. I think it was Molly's first ice cream cone. She really enjoyed it! It is always sad when a long weekend is over. We are thankful for the time we get to spend together. What a great family I have.

WATERMELON!!!

(Yes, she has a black eye. No one is really sure how it happened.)

Today was a beautiful day! We played outside in the morning and afternoon. This is our first taste of watermelon this season and Im sure it won't be our last! Molly and I both love it! She ate it seeds and all. She did not get the concept of spitting them out, so next time I will try and pick them out first. Oh well! Summer's Here!!!

Water Fun!

Tonight I put together Molly's water table. This was a birthday gift from the Bernings and the Bryants. She LOVED it! She had so much fun and was completely soaked! (Mental note* I should probably put her in a bathing suit next time). It was probably a little cold for it, but she didn't mind. She was not happy when it was time to stop playing. Thank you so much, Bernings and Bryants, we are going to have tons of summer fun with this great table!!!

I thought it was time for some new videos of Molly talking. She says something new everyday. As you can tell, I went thru a lot to get these videos. I'm an injured paparazzo. Enjoy!

Addi's Four!!!!

Addi turned 4 on Wednesday and his party was today. We went to Gymnastics Unlimited in Indy for his Mickey Mouse themed party. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast jumping in the foam pit and on the trampoline and running around the whole place! What a great energy burner. We are so happy to have been a part of Addi's celebration. He is such a good boy. We love him so much! We hope you had a great time Addi! Happy Birthday! We love you!

My Baby is TWO!!!

I guess every year on Molly's birthday I will be sentimental. Yesterday she turned two. I spent the whole day thinking about the day she was born. What an amazing day. Did I have a life before her? I can't imagine it now. She is such a burst of light in this world. She is so smart and curious, fun and innocent, just an amazing little girl. Andy and I say that at least once a day. This is such a fun age. I know everyone says that about every age, but it really is fun. She is starting to talk and we can play games and pretend. It is just such a joy. She is beautiful and perfect and I have never been more proud of anything in my life.

On Saturday, we had a fun-filled day. We started out with a few presents, then we met Auntie An, Addi, and Gigi at the mall for a mini chefs event. The kids had a great time decorating rice krispys, making candy kabobs and decorating aprons. They had a great time. Later in the evening we took the kids to Monkey Joes. What a cool place. It is a bunch of bounce houses and the kids had a BLAST!!! Molly had a great 2nd birthday and we were very happy to have spent it with Mimi, Papa, Auntie An, Baron, Gigi, and Addi.

Vince and Caitlin's Wedding!

Vince and Caitlin got married on Friday. We made the wedding at the last minute, but were able to see the whole thing. We were very worried about how Molly would do, but once again she surprised us. She was quiet the whole time! We had fun at the reception, although we had to entertain the kids while we waited for dinner (thats why Uncle Baron has stickers on his face). We had fun dancing! The wedding and reception were beautiful and we hope they will have a long happy marriage!

A Better Day

Today was a better day. Molly still cried when I left this morning, but that was to be expected. They said she even gave up her paci and baby this afternoon. And...she ate and drank today! We are definitely making progress. Hopefully, it will continue....

Rough Day...Thank Goodness for Aunt Jenn!

Well today was the first day for Molly to be officially in the 2yr old room. When we got outside the door of the room, she started crying. It was pretty much horrific. She was clinging to me for dear life and sobbing. It was a mom's worst nightmare. I cried all the way to work. Then to make matters worse, they called at 3:30 and said she hadn't eaten or drank all day long. So, tomorrow we are taking a baby to school with her to help her get thru it. They said that she has been carrying her blanket all afternoon after nap, so hopefully the baby will help.
When we got home there was a birthday package for Molly from Aunt Jenn, Matt and Holly! That was a bright spot in the day! She got fairy wings and a wand, a great dog book, and 2 adorable outfits! Thank you so much for the great birthday package Aunt Jenn, Uncle Matt and Holly! It really brightened our day!
