Saturday was Gigi's 2nd birthday party! We had a great time at her pumpkin party! The kids did a scavenger hunt and got to pick a pumpkin and had lots of treats! It was a little chilly, but a great time! We can't believe how time flys. Baby Gigi is already two! She is a ray of sunshine and we are so thankful to spend time with everyone! Happy Birthday Gigi Lynn!

A Chicago Style Birthday for Auntie An and Mimi!
This weekend we celebrated Mimi's and Auntie An's Birthday's in Chicago! What a great time! We met up there on Friday night and had cake and opened presents. Then Saturday morning we headed to downtown to the glorious hussle and bussle of the city (my favorite part). It was chilly, but not horrible. We went to the Magnificent Mile of Michigan Avenue and shopped, shopped, shopped. We hit lots of kid friendly stores, such as, Disney (Molly's Favorite), American Girl and Lego Land. We also hit a few adult stores. We had lunch at Gino's East (Great pick, Baron). It was delicious, deep dish, Chicago style pizza. Saturday night we had to hit Portello's hot dogs for dinner! Yummy! On Sunday we hit Ikea. It was a blast and we are so happy to have been able to spend Mimi's and Auntie An's birthdays with them. They are so special to us. Thanks for a great weekend everyone!

Firetrucks!!!
Last night we went to a Parents as Teachers event at the Firehouse. We got to see the inside of the firehouse, where the firefighters eat, sleep and play! We got to watch them slide down the pole and got to see the firetrucks! It was very cool! Molly was a little scared, especially when he put on his suit. It is a good experience to see them in their full gear and get the kids familiar with how they look. Hopefully we will never need their services!

Farm Aid!!!!
Sunday night was Farm Aid! I have been watching Farm Aid since I was a little girl. John Mellencamp has always been one of my favorites. Farm Aid was in St. Louis this year, so we just had to go! There were severall bands there, but we mainly wanted to see Wilco, Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews and of course, John Mellencamp. We had a great time. The bands were awesome and it was really nice to be out with my hubby, just hanging out. I felt in my twenties again ;). It was a great concert and a great cause! You can't beat fresh local produce!!!
The Park with Mimi!
Mimi came to town to watch Molly for us while we went to Farm Aid. We are so thankful! It was really nice of her to do. We did some shopping on Saturday (of course!) and spent some time at the park on Sunday before Andy and I left. Mimi took Molly to Borders and got her some books, then out to dinner at TGI Friday's, then home to watch Jungle Book! They had a great evening together. Thanks for babysitting, Mimi!!!
