Last Friday was Lainey's actual birthday.
Molly was off school, so I decided to take off and
spend the day with them!
I can't believe my baby is 2!
We covered the living room floor with balloons
as a early morning wake up surprise!
She didn't know what to think at first!
It didn't take long for a balloon fight to break out!
A little milk break.
Love those still baby feet.
My next surprise was a trip to the donut shop.
This is a big treat!
The girls love donuts and it was fun
to eat there.
Always with a baby.
These little girls bring so much joy.
It was a very snowy day!
Once Lainey had gone down for her nap,
Molly and I went to work baking her cake.
Molly is a big helper.
Molly also spent time wrapping the baby she picked out for Lainey
and the rock she colored for her.
Once she woke up we headed over to Daddy's work
to show off the girls and break him out :0)
After we got Daddy, we headed to what we thought would be a huge treat,
Monkey Joes. (A place filled with bounce houses)
She had never been, but since she is our climber and super brave one,
we thought she would love it, but instead she hated it.
Wouldn't leave my side.
In hindsight, she probably wasn't feeling well.
She was in the Dr. a few days later for a double ear infection....
Molly had a blast though!
She did enjoy the little play room.
After that we headed to Steak N Shake for dinner.
Molly didn't love the hat!
Lainey didn't mind it though.
As long as she has oranges, she's fine!
My hat photo is courtesy of my little 5 year old photog.
After dinner, it was home to have cake!
She didn't really understand what was happening.
Big sis was willing to help blow out the candles.
What now?
EAT IT!!!
We ran out of time to do gifts when we got home,
so we did them first thing Saturday morning.
Again, not sure what is happening.
I do believe that this cup was her favorite gift.
And the one that caused Molly to be mad that she didn't have one.
Molly over all has been really good with everything.
She has had some tears, but that is to be expected.
Grandma and Grandpa Dallner sent their gift, so she had that to open too.
Now its play time!
I think she had a great birthday!
We sure had fun celebrating 2 wonderful years with her!
