Make something with pumpkin!
I decided on these Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Baking treats with two very ambitious helpers can be a bit challenging.
I started out a bit tense, then took a step back and remembered that
this was supposed to be fun!
They (reluctantly) took turns adding ingredients
and cracking eggs and turning on the mixer....
Andy and I are amazed at the amount of sibling rivalry
that is already happening at our house.
You would think that Lainey is still to little for that, but she is NOT!
They fight each other for space on my lap,
for who gets to stand on the stool,
who gets to brush teeth first.
It is really amazing.
I don't think we have provided an competitive environment, necessarily.
Does this just happen naturally?
It is really curious to me.
If one has something, the other wants it.
It is challenging, but for the most part, they are very sweet to each other.
I just keep repeating "you are best friends" and hoping it will stick!
The cookies turned out good,
then Andy put some whip cream on them and they
were amazing!
